week of 4/27

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison — that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.” - Colossians 4:2-4

We can see from God’s Word that prayer is important in any circumstance, and we wanted to further emphasize the importance of it during this time! We can also see from this specific passage in Colossians that Paul shows a relationship between prayer and evangelism.

We want to challenge you to continue steadfastly in prayer during this time.
How can you be watchful for the ways He will act?
How can you thank Him for the ways He has already been faithful to so many things in your life over the last number of weeks?
How might you specifically pray for a door to be opened for you to share the Gospel with someone?
In what ways could you further depend on the Holy Spirit to enable to to communicate the Gospel clearly?

Remember that you can still sign up for the 40-day Prayer Chain & have a designated time where you can pray through things like this. Our Tidewater Cru prayer event will also be happening tomorrow night (4/28), & we encourage you to come whether you love prayer or have never really been in the discipline of it. You’ll have time to pray on your own, journal, & there’s no pressure to pray out loud. Please join us!
